November

Time to take down the Halloween window clings.  Luckily Evy's teacher has her pumped for Thanksgiving.

Nothing sweeter than this!

 Snugglers.
Evy posing at dinner.  Evy has been helping me with everything I cook!  Even the beet salad on her plate (she didn't eat it, but at least she pushed it around a little).
We have a new mirror in our dining room and Hugh finds himself quite captivating.
 Dinnertime antics.

Bay Lake

The kids had a ton of fun on the new playset Grandpa Jerry bought them!

Gretta had fun exploring her new hood.

Uncle Tyler helped Grant raise the swings.

Auntie Ashley (!) helped Hugh not fall several feet.

"What should we watch, Gretta?!"

Lucky for us the new place came with an ORGAN!

Future site of senior photo shots.

Bay Lake

Evy was disappointed there were no peanuts in the basket, so Granny helped her refill it.
Not sure where they were headed, but I'm sure it was to do something exciting!

Evy and Granny made us lunch!

The Bowmans got to sleep in Grandpa Jerry's RV at the new cabin.  Hugh loved pretending to drive.

One night the heat went off but we all stayed warm under a mountain of blankets.  It was probably the closest to camping we'll ever come.

This was the only picture I got at Oktoberfest before my battery died.  At least there's a guy in lederhosen in the background.

Here she is...the Bowman Compound!  The boathouse (to the left) and the bunkhouse (to the right) are not pictured.

 Minutes later it started snowing.

Trick-or-Treating in Highland

Angela lent us Finn's alien costume--what a hoot!  Hugh got lots of smiles and the kids thought it was so funny how "fat" he was.

He decided to rip open a sucker after his first stop.

Evy is an "evil but pretty fairy" and Grant is a power ranger (again).
P.S.  Thanks to Grammy and Grandma for the Halloween cards!  The kids were very excited.

Apple Picking

It was a beautiful day for apple picking.  This year we went to Aamodt's Apple Orchard...and so did everyone else it seemed.  It was still fun though!

2nd Grade

With 2 years under his belt, going back to school was no big deal for Grant.  He said he was excited for recess, gym, and hot lunch.  As for schoolwork, he was less enthusiastic.  He has a theory that teachers always say things are going to be fun and then they aren't.  However, he had a great time being tutored by his 1st grade teacher this summer, so I think it was just his nerves talking.
He remembered at the last minute to bring along a toy to place with at recess.  A power ranger of course!

I'm happy to report that so far so good in 2nd grade.  Grant said his teacher, Mrs.Litecky, is strict without making it seem like being strict.  Sounds like a good compliment to me.

Summer Fun at Bay Lake

Hugh is keeping us busy at the lake this summer with his high speed crawling.  Usually he is headed for the stairs, some kind of cord, or straight off the dock.  Often someone can be heard saying "Where's Hugh? Ahhhhh, come back here!!!"

Ben has become a real fishermen this summer.  He bought a new pole and in the same weekend broke that pole and got a hook in his thumb.

Coming down to spend some relaxing time with Hugh on the dock...
The wagon that Grant got for his 1st birthday has been loved by all 3 kids.
The baby boobs still seem to be around...
A relaxing drink hour on the deck with Hugh.
Somehow Granny is still willing to come over and put up with all our chaos!  I guess she's seen it all before.
Happy Birthday America!  Auntie Teens and I took these two to the Bay Lake fireworks.  They suggested that next time we try to find a spot where a huge tree isn't blocking the show.  So picky...
Headbands and snorkels...always a winning combo.
2013 will always be remembered as the Michael Jackson summer.
Grant was very proud of this picture he took.
Me-"35 year old women are not supposed to tube you know, Evy."  Evy-"Grandpa, go in SLOW MOTION!"
